Typical Programme of Events for the Faith Northern Summertime (Subject to change)

A fun and faith-filled few days for 10-15 year olds
Ampleforth Abbey, York
Monday 20th July to Thursday 23rd July 2026

Travel arrangements:

The Faith Northern Summertime Break takes place at:

Ampleforth Abbey

Ampleforth College, York YO62 4ER

What your child will need:

A towel
A watch – so he/she can meet up on time for various activities,
Body Soap/Hand Soap, roll-on deodorant (NO aerosols permitted), shampoo, towels, toothbrush and toothpaste etc.
Clothes for four days,
A waterproof coat,
Trainers and PE kit, etc. for sports,
Medication, if needed (see below),
Sun cream and hat,
Money for tuckshop during the week and to spend at Flamingo Land (approximately £60)

Ampleforth Abbey will provide the following:
Bed Linen

Medication

Please label any medication with your child’s name and the dose. A supervisor will keep this medication. We cannot provide painkillers for children, so if you wish your child to bring painkillers, these, too, must be labelled and handed to the supervisor on arrival. Asthma inhalers: Please send two inhalers, one for your child to keep themselves and another labelled spare to be kept by the supervisor.

Mobile Phones

Mobile phones are allowed, but usage is limited, and all phones will be collected at bedtime to prevent others from being disturbed

In case of an emergency during the week, please ring Michelle Robertson, Event Coordinator, at 07803 165640.  Please note that the emergency contact number you provide on the consent form needs to indicate who we should contact during the week should your child be sent home for illness or disciplinary issues.
