Typical Programme of Events for the Faith Summer Break (Subject to change)

A fun and faith-filled few days for 11-15 year olds
St Mary's School, Ascot
Monday 10th to Thursday 13th August 2026

The Faith Summer Break takes place at:

What your child will need:

A towel
A watch – so he/she can meet up on time for various activities,
Soap, roll-on deodorant (NO aerosols permitted), shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste etc.
Clothes for four days,
A waterproof coat,
A mobile phone,
Trainers and PE kit etc. for sports,
Medication if needed (see below),
Sun cream and hat,
Money for tuckshop during the week and to spend at Thorpe Park,

Sheets and duvet

Medication

Please label any medication with your child’s name and the dose. This medication will be kept by a supervisor. We cannot provide painkillers for children so if you wish your child to bring painkillers these too must be labelled and handed to the supervisor on arrival. Asthma inhalers: please send two inhalers, one for your child to keep themselves and another labelled spare to be kept by the supervisor.

Money

For the sake of security, we will be providing a locked safe where your child can leave money. They will have access to the safe once a day. We cannot take responsibility for money or other valuables which are kept in your child’s possession.

Mobile Phones and electrical appliances

Please send your child with a mobile phone for the week, this will also serve as a security measure during the day trip to Thorpe Park.

Health and safety requirements of the school means that hairdryers and other 240v appliances cannot be brought in for use in school accommodation.

In case of emergency during the week, you can ring the school on 01344 296600 and ask for myself, Fr. Matthew O'Gorman. Please note that the emergency contact number which you provide on the consent form needs to indicate who we should contact during the week should your child need to be sent home for illness or disciplinary issues.
